Getting Started
Initial Download Steps
Caregiver

To create an account tap ‘Signup’ and then tap ‘Caregiver’. Type in your first name, last name, email address and phone number. Use an email that you will check often, and choose a password that you will remember. If you forget your password, you can change your password by tapping ‘Forgot Password’. -
Enter confirm your password. Ensure passwords entered in both fields are the same. The minimum is 6 characters long. -
Read and accept the ‘End User License Agreement’. -
Before you can begin to use any of the features, the care receiver must set up their account. Below is how they can set up their account. -
If they have already set up their account, enter the email of your loved one in the space provided and tap “connect”. You can also set this up at a later time.

Ensure the care receiver creates an account by tapping “Signup”, and then tapping “Care Receiver”. Ask them to type in their first name, last name, email address and phone number. If they do not have an email, they may use an alternate email from your caregiver account that you also have access to. Use an email that you will check often, and choose a password that you will remember. If they forget your password, they can change the password by tapping “Forgot Password”. -
Ensure they enter and confirm the password. Ensure passwords entered in both fields are the same. The minimum is 6 characters long. -
Ensure they read and accept the ‘End User License Agreement’.
Connect with Loved One
Caregiver

Tap the settings icon (gear). Tap ‘Connect With Loved One’. -
Type in the email address of your loved one and tap ‘Connect’. Once you've hit ‘connect’ the request has been sent. You can return to the previous screen by pressing no thanks or swiping back. A notification is then sent to the care receiver, which they can click on. The care receiver will then be prompted to accept the request.

Ensure the care receiver taps the settings icon (gear), and taps ‘Connect With Loved One’. Double check to confirm that the email shown matches your email (caregiver) and tap ‘Yes’. -
The care receiver will also have received a notification, which they can tap, prompting them to accept the connection request.
Events
How to schedule an event for the care receiver?
- Tap ‘Events’ and then tap the ‘+’ icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Type in the details of the event: name, location, start time, end time, and frequency (once, daily, weekly, monthly, annually). -
Repeat for all events. For example, if you tap daily, the care receiver will receive a notification for the specific event at the scheduled time each day.

If the care receiver does not respond to the notification indicating completion, or indicate that they have not completed the event, you will be sent a notification making you aware of the missed event.

The care receiver will receive a reminder of the event 30 minutes prior, 15 minutes prior and at the time of the event.
Medications
How to schedule medications for the care receiver?
- Tap ‘Medications’ and tap the ‘+’ icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Type in the details of the medication: name, time of day, description of medication (optional), physician (optional), safety information (optional). -
Repeat for all medications.
What to expect from Memoryz?

Photo Sharing
How to send a photo to the care receiver?
- Tap ‘Photo’ and tap ‘Take a photo’.

Tap ‘Take Photo…’ or ‘Choose from Library…’. -
If you tap ‘Take Photo’, take a photo and tap ‘Send photo’. -
If you tap ‘Choose from Library’, tap the desired photo and tap ‘Send photo’.

You will be able to see what medications and events are scheduled for the day for your care receiver, as well as what medications and events have been completed for that day. -
Moods are also recorded, as Iris, the chat-based 24/7 companion engages in check-ins with the care receiver daily at 9am and 3pm.

How does Memoryz check in with your loved one?
How does Memoryz remind the care receiver of their tasks?
- When requested, Iris, a chat-based companion provides a daily list of events and medications for the day as scheduled by you.

They also receive a notification 30 minutes prior, 15 minutes prior and at the time of the event or medication. Iris then asks if the care receiver has attended the event, or taken their medication. If the event or medication is missed, a message is sent 15 minutes after the scheduled time.

How to chat and communicate with Iris?
- The care receiver can type in the text input section located at the bottom of the screen.

They can ask questions such as what they have scheduled today, tell Iris what they did today, and tell Iris how they are feeling. Iris will respond and/or provide options on what to do next.
How to figure out their schedule?
How to call the caregiver?
- The care receiver may request Iris to call their caregiver by texting in the text input section. They may simply text the name of their caregiver and Iris will prompt them with a button that states ‘Call Caregiver’ to tap.

During the day, Iris may ask if the care receiver wants to call their caregiver. An example phrase includes “Call my loved one?”.
